We are looking for completed feature-length tearjerker scripts appropriate for television. We are looking for completed feature-length contemporary drama or dramatic thrillers scripts which have been vetted through some formal and recognized process. What this means is that we need scripts that are almost ready to go, not just mere first, second, or third drafts. We are only interested in character driven material - no gore or exploitation, please - and material that deals with current social issues or themes. So, for example, a story about a soldier in

We are looking for completed feature-length scripts about characters on a road trip. The journey should be about characters searching for something (e.g. meaning in life, happiness), new beginnings or an escape from something (the past). We are not looking for frantic chase films like "The Hitcher." The motivation should not be about characters in a cat-and-mouse game or instill a fear of being maimed and tortured. In other words, we are looking for scripts in the vein of "Into the Wild," Little Miss Sunshine," "Wendy and Lucy" or "The Darjeeling Limited." We are not interested in broad, "bromance" comedies like "The Hangover." The goal should be to express through the use of visuals, dialogue and the characters' actions, their internal struggles and/or existential needs. Special emphasis should be on their interactions with the people they meet. Other example es: "The Motorcycle Diaries," "Sideways," "The Straight Story" and "Planes, Trains & Automobiles." The script should highlight a cross-country trip or long journey across different areas, so no scripts about a character moving and settling into a new town. Thus, the script should focus more on the journey than the destination. We are not open to war-setting scripts.
Budget will not exceed $200,000. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.

We are looking for completed feature-length drama samples from writers either fluent in Spanish or familiar with Latino or Chicano experiences for a possible writer-for-hire opportunity. We are developing a story about immigration as well as human trafficking/sweatshops, so any samples either about the immigration process and experience such as in "Sin Nombre" would be preferred. However, we will accept dramatic samples from writers familiar with Latino or Chicano experiences in general. No samples outside anything that would be classified as drama (a little thriller elements are fine, but no comedies, rom-coms, etc.).
Budget has yet to be determined. WG and Non-WG writers may submit.
